This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Shoulder rests have provided string players with more comfort while they play for nearly 100 years! This equipment will help my students focus on things such as left hand position, finger patterns, shifting, and vibrato. The use of shoulder rests help limit the physical strain from holding the instrument up for long periods of time!

The young musicians at our school are working on learning how to read and play musical notation on their instrument, produce a characteristic tone while playing with a bow or plucking their strings, and demonstrating a good playing position.
