My Project

My kindergarteners are so eager to learn and I am always looking for ways to present learning in fun and creative ways. This school year we have added two small light table trays to our classroom, the transparent manipulatives from this project will allow my students to build, explore and play with materials as they develop skills in literacy, math, science and more!

These resources will be used at the light table and will make such a difference in the students' learning by allowing individuals to practice skills through hands-on learning.

Students will be able to use the transparent letters and numbers to work on identification, as well as formation skills. The transparent pattern blocks and tiles will be used during our illustration unit as we study how illustrations are made up on various shapes. Students will have the opportunity to create their own pictures here and these materials will be used later on as we explore 2D and 3D shapes. The cubes, bears, buttons, and counters will be used to help build upon students' route counting, fine motor skills, and so much more. These resources lend themselves to so many opportunities!

This will be an asset to our classroom for the students in my class this year, as well as students that come through this classroom for many years to come.
