We were able to set it up and when they walked in they were all in shock!\r\n\r\nBefore your donation we had a very tiny rug that barely fit my thirteen students and it would not stick to the floor making it unsafe and slippery. Students collaborated with one another to create a design plan for their own sculpture. During this planning time, students used art vocabulary and shared their hopes and visions for their creation. As students started to build, they worked on strengthening their fine motor skills as they carefully threaded beads on to the wire and twisted the wire to hold the shape of their sculpture. Students then worked with adults as they used pliers to clamp the metal at the end. This project brought so much joy and curiosity to our classroom! Students were so proud of the work they completed. The materials funded through this project allowed this transformation to be successful. Students took on various roles of being customers, cashiers, hairstylists as they engaged in pretend play.
