This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In honor of Women's History month, twelve of our 6th grade girls have an upcoming opportunity to meet the author of "She persisted" and "She persisted around the world." I think this could be a life changing event for these young women. Your donation will buy each girl both copies of the book so she can have them personally inscribed by the author. Please consider a donation to provide a deserving young women with an inspirational experience that will last a lifetime.

My Project

As educators, we know we could be teaching the next great doctor, inventor, astronaut or political leader. While our students are surrounded by dedicated, exceptional teachers, there is a limit to how much of the outside world we can place in our students' hands. Having the opportunity to meet a published author who is shining the light on accomplished women around the world could be life-changing for our sixth grade girls. Books personally inscribed to them will forever have a place of honor on their bookshelves. And memories of the event will be a continued inspiration. Your gift will make a lasting impression.
