My Project

I am lucky enough to have three of the simulators in class, but want to expand to allow more student groups be active in the hands-on experience at the same time. The goal is to allow students to view other builds and learn from each other positives and negatives of various building techniques.

Introducing my students to an earthquake simulator building challenge adds an interactive and engaging dimension to their exploration of tectonic plates and building structures.

As these young learners learn all about Earth's dynamic forces, a simulator offers a hands-on experience that could not be offered by typical classroom methods. By simulating seismic events, students not only witness the impact of tectonic plate movements but also gain a practical understanding of how structures respond. This immersive approach fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and a deeper connection to scientific concepts. The earthquake simulator building challenge becomes a catalyst for curiosity, making the learning process dynamic and enjoyable, and preparing these young minds for a future of scientific exploration.
