My Project

This project will go to middle school students in Oakland, CA - 95% of whom are from a low-income community. Test-taking is a necessary part of school but can be especially unnerving for students in a high trauma environment. These supplies will help students stay calm, focused and motivated during test-taking days. The books will give them something positive to do after the test and the fidget toys, candy and ear buds will all help them create a safe space at their desk so they will have what they need to do their best.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
