My Project

I have an incredible group of students, many of whom come from backgrounds of generational poverty and have faced educational challenges. However, they are now on a path toward making positive choices. They have profoundly enriched my life, and I strive to do the same for them.

I want my students to understand the importance of helping others, even when they feel they have little to offer or are in need themselves.

Engaging in service learning projects is a valuable way for them to experience this.

This initiative involves several components. Initially, students will design and create items that help them stay cool while participating in community activities. They will gain entrepreneurial skills that can be applied in various contexts. Additionally, I plan to organize several field trips to local organizations and non-profits, allowing them to engage in meaningful work for the community. Through these experiences, I hope they discover that helping others can enhance their self-esteem and satisfaction in their contributions, inspiring them to continue this important work. Learning occurs everywhere, not just within the confines of a classroom. I invite you to support my vision for these students and help us provide them with these enriching learning opportunities.
