My Project

Sensory activities provide such benefits such as self-regulation and calm so that other types of learning can occur. It helps students navigate hyper- or hyposensitive reactions to sensory inputs, strengthening neural pathways and improving cognitive ability to organize information. Group sensory play encourages social interaction, sharing, and improved communication skills.

It even results in increased independence and problem-solving!

Having the independence to navigate sensory needs is indeed a favorable outcome for the little children. They can learn when they need a break and what in a break helps to calm and regulate them so they can engage in more executive functioning skills.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
