The resources you provided are already making a real difference in both my teaching and my students' learning.\r\n\r\nThe Behavior Code and its companion guide have given me clear, research-based strategies that I use daily to support students who experience anxiety and behavioral challenges. I feel more confident addressing these needs, and my students are benefiting from calm, consistent responses that help them regulate their emotions and rejoin learning more quickly. Mindful Classrooms and Strong Start—PreK have become part of our daily routine, giving my preschoolers practical tools for self-regulation, emotional awareness, and connection. I can already see their progress as they practice calming strategies and express their feelings with greater confidence.\r\n\r\nThe Math Number of the Day Pocket Chart has added structure and excitement to our math time. My students love the routine of engaging with numbers in a visual, hands-on way, and it has helped them build stronger number sense while also reinforcing important classroom skills like turn-taking and participation.\r\n\r\nThese resources have strengthened my teaching and expanded my students' opportunities to succeed. What may seem like books and charts on the outside are, in reality, powerful tools for building confidence, resilience, and joy in learning. Many of my students face daily challenges related to sensory processing and emotional regulation, and your support has made a real difference in helping them understand and manage their big feelings.\r\n\r\nThe emotion-themed books you helped provide have become an important part of our daily routine. They've sparked meaningful conversations about how we feel and why, and my students are beginning to use new vocabulary to express themselves—words like \"frustrated,\" \"excited,\" \"nervous,\" and \"proud.\" These are big concepts for little learners, but with the right tools, they're making incredible progress.\r\n\r\nThe plush emotion characters are a huge hit and have become trusted classroom companions. Whether we're talking about feelings during circle time or a child needs comfort during a tough moment, these plushies provide a tactile, relatable way to explore emotions. The emotion sorter is another favorite—students love matching the facial expressions and talking about times they've felt those emotions themselves.\r\n\r\nThe sensory bottles have been especially helpful in our calm-down corner. Their gentle movement and soothing colors offer a quiet way for students to reset and regulate themselves. For children who struggle to express their needs verbally, these tools have provided a comforting alternative and a path to greater self-awareness.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, my students are not only learning about emotions—they're learning how to navigate them. Your donation has helped build a foundation of emotional literacy that will benefit them far beyond the classroom. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in the power of early emotional education and for supporting such an important part of their growth.","fullyFundedDate":1746785384078,"projectUrl":"project/learning-emotions-today-helps-keep-dysre/9250906/","projectTitle":"Learning Emotions Today Helps Keep Dysregulation At Bay!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Stonestreet","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9595410_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723084467324","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9595410"},{"teacherId":9595410,"projectId":9103083,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, our classroom has been transformed into a vibrant hub of creativity and joyful exploration. With the new art materials, my students—many of whom have sensory processing disorders and other special needs—are now engaging with a wider variety of textures, colors, and mediums than ever before.\r\n\r\nThe paint dot markers and paints have become daily favorites, sparking excitement and endless imagination during our arts and crafts centers. The clay has allowed them to explore 3D creation, giving them a chance to mold their ideas into real, touchable works of art. Our laminated pieces are proudly displayed around the classroom, helping students see their progress and feel a sense of accomplishment. Painting rocks with their names has not only reinforced letter recognition but also boosted their confidence and classroom belonging.\r\n\r\nYour donation didn't just provide supplies—it allowed my students to express themselves, develop fine motor skills, and experience the pure joy of creating something all their own. They reached for the alphabet game right away, eager to spin, match, and say their letters aloud. What looked like play to them was actually powerful learning — hearing letter sounds, recognizing shapes, and building early literacy skills while laughing together.\r\n\r\nThe hedge balls became a classroom favorite instantly. Students giggled as they used tweezers to pick them up, working on their fine motor strength without even realizing they were practicing an important skill. The sorting pack quickly turned into colorful \"rainbow hunts,\" helping students learn colors and practice matching and sorting — skills we will keep building into our math lessons.\r\n\r\nWhen I introduced the turn-and-learn magnetic gears, my students' curiosity took over. They twisted, turned, and watched in awe as the gears moved together, sparking conversations about \"how things work.\" The lacing animals were met with intense focus, as little hands threaded each piece — a perfect way to develop patience, coordination, and concentration.\r\n\r\nFor some of my students, the biggest moment came when I presented the chew necklaces and bracelets. Their eyes lit up with relief and gratitude — finally, they had a safe, comforting way to meet their sensory needs.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to weave these materials into ongoing lessons: using the alphabet game during morning circle, the sorting pack during math centers, the gears for science exploration, and the lacing animals for quiet fine-motor practice. These tools have brought joy, focus, and confidence into our classroom, and I can already see the growth they are helping my students achieve.","fullyFundedDate":1746397395683,"projectUrl":"project/multi-sensory-learning-to-help-activate/9299521/","projectTitle":"Multi Sensory Learning to Help Activate Our Working Memory","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Stonestreet","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9595410_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723084467324","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9595410"},{"teacherId":9595410,"projectId":9021833,"letterContent":"I would like to start by thanking you for your generous donation. You have brought color and comfort to our daily Circle Story Time. The first time I brought the cushions out my students dropped what they were doing (this is huge considering several of them are unaware of what is going on around them) and ran to me with huge smiles on their faces and their little bodies vibrating. They love Circle Time now and love that each day they get to decide what color they will sit on. \r\n\r\nThanks to you my students now get to feel like big kids by making decisions on what color they will sit on. These cushions provide a color learning experience each day when the students come to pick out their cushions because they verbally (if they can) say what color they want. These cushions are also teaching my students about personal space. Each day they sit on their cushions and we talk about how that is their personal space and how they respect others by not entering other student's space without permission.\r\n\r\nWe are currently going through our Dinosaur unit in class. We have been working on learning the names of different dinosaurs (brachiosaurus, triceratops, velociraptor, etc.) and different vocabulary words that go with them (egg, bone, skull, etc.).
