Since we are an Early Childhood Special Education classroom, most of our students come to us not potty trained. While potty training is our goal, we must meet the students where they are currently with their restroom needs. Since most of our students come to us wearing diapers or pull-ups, we require a changing station for our students. While we currently do have a changing station, it needs to be replaced. While we are able safely place children on it to be changed, the shelves underneath often fall apart. The stairs are also missing requiring teachers to lift children up onto the table. Our table is also red, which does not blend with our school’s Reggio Inspired philosophy.
