This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my students this year are struggling with emotional regulation.

Sensory tools help them to regulate and stay in the green!

I have one sensory sock that one student uses almost all day long. I feel that many of my other students would benefit from it if it was available to them. I would like to have several sensory socks in my classroom for students to choose from and an extra sock to send home with my kiddo that basically lives in it so that she can have access to this wonderful tool at home.

Fidget tools help my students to focus but have sadly walked off throughout the year. It is time to restock so there are a lot of options to choose from.

The chewelry will be very helpful for my students that mouth everything and will hopefully keep them from chewing up their headphones and all my pencils. Of course, these will probably go home with them as well.

Access to proper sensory tools will help my students to regulate which will allow them to participate in more learning opportunities.
