My Project

Help provide my students with a variety of sensory supports to help them regulate and focus in our TK classroom.

These items will provide engaging, non-disruptive support for students during seated activities, emotional regulation breaks, mindfulness or quiet times, and transitions between activities.

Sensory tools help anchor students, allowing them to work and learn more independently and giving them a sense of control and calm in a busy world.

The sensory fish lamp will help create a calming visual environment in our classroom quiet space. These lamps use gentle movement, color changes, and soft lighting to help reduce stress or sensory overload. The wiggle seat cushions, fidgets, chewies, cuddly animal weighted lap pads will help students get their wiggles out and support student focus during adult-led small and whole group instruction and classroom activities. Together they will help maximize student participation in hands-on learning activities throughout the day.

This wide range of sensory tools will help expand our ability to meet the unique needs of each of our students, and promote focus, learning and fun in our TK classroom.
