Many of my special needs three- to five-year-old preschool students have difficulty with sensory overstimulation. They have trouble screening out visual, auditory, and tactile sensory input. This makes it difficult for them to focus their attention on specific activities such as listening to a song or story, playing with toys, or completing tasks such as an inset puzzle. These calming blue room dividers will help filter out distractions and help our students better focus on language, play, peer social interaction, and other critical preschool learning activities. Building these important skills enables our students to be better learners in a range of environments later in childhood and over their lifetimes.
