Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our building is really working on positive relationships and belonging. It is so important to make sure we all feel like we have a place at school, in the classroom, on the playground, in the cafeteria, with our custodial staff, and in the office area with our secretaries, principals, nurses, and counselors. Spreading kindness is contagious.

Please help us get snacks to help get our mind off our anxiety, Montessori math manipulatives will be used for sensory needs for our students with special needs who need hands on building.

Building allows the students to construct and see numbers in a different way and also allows our minds to focus on fun while learning. Some of our kids have never had learning manipulatives at home. Let's give our kids what they need. The toys will be used for stress & anxiety relief; stacking, matching, counting, and color sorting game will be used for fine motor development and STEM creativity. Sensory learning in the classroom helps to stimulate focus and a push for time on task behaviors.

Being able to share these materials will help support students who have an accommodation need, but also support all students with time-on-task behaviors within the general education setting.

Celebrating is what we do. Allowing me to share these resources and spread kindness with my peers. It is a way to continue to grow and serve the needs of our children. Thank you for making this happen for our kids. Building kindness within our building also builds our community with citizens who continue to teach and model kindness.
