Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are building a dedicated Sensory Room, a safe, soothing space designed to help students regulate their emotions and sensory systems throughout the school day.

This specialized space will offer targeted visual, tactile, and movement-based tools, giving students a positive, safe outlet to reset when they feel anxious, dysregulated, or overstimulated.

Instead of losing a whole day of learning to frustration or stress, a few intentional minutes in the Sensory Room allows a child to calm their mind, recharge their energy, and return to their instruction ready to learn alongside their peers.

By contributing to our project, you are helping our students regulate, focus, and succeed throughout their school day.
