Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are learners with significant developmental delays and communication challenges. Many are non-verbal or minimally verbal and rely on sensory input to stay regulated, engaged, and ready to learn. Sensory materials are not just calming tools for them—they are essential learning supports that help build attention, communication, fine motor skills, and independence.

This project will provide a variety of sensory materials that will allow students to explore, regulate their bodies, and participate meaningfully in daily classroom activities.

With these tools, students will be better able to focus, reduce frustration, and engage with instruction in a safe and supportive way.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
