Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager learners! They are ready to learn and grow in so many new ways this school year. They are adapting to their ever-changing world, and I am so excited they are finally back in the classroom!

As a teacher in a low-income urban area, my students face many challenges in and out of school.

Many of my students also speak another language at home. This is something that can be a challenge, but we are working to utilize this to their advantage.

Their challenges will not stop them. They are hard workers who are dedicated to their tasks, whether learning something new or sharing kindly with a friend. They are capable of amazing things every day.

My Project

These items will provide my students with a more sensory friendly experience. The fidget toys will help with student focus. The alternative lighting will allow us to turn off the harsh lighting in the classroom. The sensory bins and materials will provide sensory experiences for my students to explore independently.

These supplies will support all of my students in their learning!

The sensory experience of a classroom can be overwhelming and these items will help my students to have a better learning experience. Every student learns differently and these supplies will help me to create an environment that is beneficial to all learners.
