My Project

I am a PreK teacher and I am one of the first experiences that students have with school. They come into my classroom with different backgrounds and needs. I want to create a safe place for students to go when faced with emotions they do not know how to handle.

A sensory area in the classroom has many benefits.

Just a few of these benefits include helping the student to self-regulate their emotions and supporting brain development, and one of the greatest benefits is giving them an area where they feel safe. My students need sensory floor tiles for our sensory area.
