Help me give my students a chance to see the differences between vertebrates and invertebrates by dissecting them by dissecting the diversity set, the shark and the pigeons.
I teach in an inner city Title I school where budgets are very tight. I want to be able to allow my students to have as many experiences as possible. My students are eager to learn and love to be able to see what they are learning about. Many of our students are English Language students and students that are very underrepresented in STEM.
Last school year my students weren't able to do any labs due to COVID.
If this project is funded I would be able to do some very neat dissection labs with my students. They would get to see the difference between vertebrate and invertebrate organisms.
My Project
These materials will allow students to be able to see from the inside the differences between vertebrates and invertebrates. My students love to learn about animals and this will allow them the chance to actually get to see for themselves (instead of using pictures in a textbook) what the differences are.
It has been proven over and over again that actually being able to see the differences helps students to gain a better understanding of the materials they are learning about.
These materials will help my students with that learning.
