Seeds of Change, Using Nature to Make Visible Growth

My students need these growing kits to begin the germination of the plants. We will have 25 volunteers begin these planters and maintain them as a responsibility. They need flower seeds, 25 sprout and grow greenhouses, and 4 Grow-A-Tree kits.

My Students

Do you remember growing your first plant, the process of change and the desire to maintain the plant was exciting. The children will be growing a garden that will flourish all three seasons, the goal is to create place to see change and move it along in a positive manner.

The volunteering high school students will take these garden boxes home and be responsible for different types/ varieties that will germinate over the winter and spring.

As we try to affect change within our school we will be selecting plants that will be very bright and attractive for others to view. Our goal is to inspire not only beauty but peace.

My Project

Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Pink! All these colors make up our environment, you can be a part of this palette of color and make the change in a brick building facade. We will go from cold clay to warm, embracing vibrant colors. Change the background to many colors and changing colors as the seasons change. This will bring a sense of anticipation and hope for growth

We will be displaying this garden as an example of what every school across the country needs to provide for each child.

Our goal is to reach into every learning environment and create a uniform place for children to find the place of hope and change. This will be an ongoing project that is maintained by future children who will also learn not only about the gardening aspect but how the plants themselves represent change and self inspiration from within.
