My Students

Creating a community of lifelong learners is the goal of my Montessori classroom. This means, I get to spend the day with a mix of nine to twelve year olds trying to figure out the world and their place within it. Questioning, researching, and experimenting are a part of our daily learning environment, as students are encouraged to explore their interests while completing their daily work. Moments of intense concentration, students independently caring for the classroom space, and lively discussions are hallmarks of daily life in our classroom.

My Project

This document camera will make it easy to share examples and guide students through the work they are doing. Having the ability to attach this camera to a projector will make explicit instruction of materials across all subject areas simpler and more effective. Students will be able to see and follow along as instruction is being given with a view that directly mirrors their own work. Rather than imagining how something written on a whiteboard compares to what they are doing, students will view things as it will look to them.
