My Students

Our high school is working on creating a virtual visual arts program and is in need of support. As an art teacher, it is my goal to inspire students to express their inner voices and ideas!

We have a wide range of ethnicities, learning styles, and talents, but one thing we all have in common is that we all love the visual and performing arts.

I feel that my students are really missing out on connecting with their art and being able to share their ideas with the world. Please help me fund this project! Funding this project will support the students in the arts, allow them to experience their artistic potential, and will allow us to host an in-person art show!

We are lacking supplies for basic ceramics work, sculptural work, art show displays, storage, printing, and painting. Please help me get the supplies we need!

My Project

This year I am teaching art to 9th-12th graders. My students are so eager to learn and create but they do not have the means to create because we are lacking supplies in the art room.

This project will allow me to supply all students with wire and mechanical tools, aluminum wire, and ceramics tools like needle tools and sponges so they can have a successful year in art class, and create 3D works of art.

My classes give students the opportunity to create and express their inner voices. The students have a lot going on, personally, physically and emotionally. They desire to find ways to self-express and the arts give them the outlet to do so. I strive every day to inspire them and keep their passion for the arts alive!

I have been able to motivate most of my students and get them to share their inner thoughts, feelings and ideas. It is difficult and frustrating for these artists to constantly share what they are feeling in writing or verbally. Asking them to share written or verbally is not always the right way for students to get their ideas noticed. Creating and making is a special component that allows students to express their inner voice when words are not available. I feel that my students are really missing out on connecting with their art and being able to share their ideas with the world. Please help me fund this project, so I can give them the tools they need to be successful!
