Help me give my students clay tools and ceramic glazes to take their sculptures to the next level.

My Project

With this project, I would like to provide students the opportunity to try ceramic glazing on their clay projects. I love teaching students all the different art processes, techniques and mediums in the art room. There is always lots of excitement from the class when a clay project is introduced.

It is a joy to watch students' faces light up when their glazed artworks come out of the kiln; it is like magic to them!

You ask any student what their favorite project they have ever done in art class and majority will say clay.

My goal is to give more grades the opportunity to try glazes with their clay. It really takes their artwork to the next level as opposed to using paints. They see and understand the transformation of the firing and kiln process.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
