Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students at my school are smart, talented, polite, kind, and capable. They are diverse and speak many different languages. Close to 90% of the students in my school receive free or reduced-rate meals at school. They may have many obstacles in their lives when it comes to learning, but they love school and they love to learn.
I am so excited to play a role in their education.
I teach in a Title I middle school, special education classroom. I want my room to be a place where my students know they are seen.
My Project
The past 2 years have been tough on student's, their education as well as the social emotional havoc that has been another side effect of this pandemic. We need to make classrooms a welcoming and interesting experience to give them the motivation to love learning.
With these Learning Activity Science tubs and hands-on kits, the students will be engaged and ready to learn about the world around them!
Having students in person, and using these fun, interactive classroom scientific aids to assist in their re-introduction to feeling comfortable in the classroom and growing their interest in science will be invaluable for our classroom for years to come.
