This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As you all know, children are full of natural curiosity. My scholars investigate, question, and process the wonders around them. We are especially riveted by meaningful and purposeful hands-on experiences. We love to explore...

We are always on the look-out for new experiences that might ignite a spark and inspire learning.

My students are able to hone their 21st century STEAM skills (science, mathematics, engineering, arts and math) by tackling challenges that give them the opportunity to collaborate, communicate and be creative.

My Project

Parental Involvement in a child's education is essential. Studies have shown time and time again that when parents are involved and engaged in their child's learning at home and at school, the children and the adults reap enormous benefits. In addition to the warm-and fuzzy family bonding experiences gained- academic achievement is positively linked to parental involvement.

Excitement about learning is infectious... Providing enriching educational experiences for the whole family helps spark the love of learning.

Every month we would like to have a STEAM Saturday that allows families from the community to come and experience hands-on STEAM activities. The Delta Educational Exploration kits in earth and life science will provide materials and resources for the the families to use during the free to families event.
