My Students

Every morning our students come in with a zest for learning! And every morning I get them ready to learn more!

Our class serves the Kindergarten through 2nd grade special education population in our special day class.

We love giving our students as much hands-on experiences with the sciences as possible, increasing their awareness and understanding of the world they live in.

My Project

Science kits will be used to create a hands-on approach to learning. By allowing students to touch, feel, build, and watch science in action, they will be able to retain and remember some of the most important aspects of what sustains our world and environment. My students need science kits including engineering kits, life science specimens, and experiment kits.

Many of our students live in poverty, and have minimal access to exciting tools and resources.

By using multiple modalities of learning for our students, and giving them experiential opportunities to explore and discover science, we will start to shape the critical thinking skills that are needed for our future scientists and engineers.
