Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a social worker in the school district, I work with a wide range of students. All different ages, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds. But all my students have one thing in common, emotions.

I help my students identify their emotions and cope with them in a healthy way.

I do this one on one, small groups, and full classrooms. To help keep them engaged, activities like books and games really make a difference.

Sometimes it can be hard for students to talk about difficult situations. With these supplies, it will make it all that much easier for students to identify their emotions and help facilitate discussions.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
