This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Last year, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, our students experienced the amazing journey of incubating and hatching chicks right here at school. Watching the eggs hatch was an unforgettable hands-on learning experience that sparked curiosity, excitement, and a love of science.

Now, we need your help to continue the journey!

As our chicks grow into healthy hens, we are raising funds to provide them with the food and care they need throughout the school year.

Our school chickens are much more than pets—they are living teachers. Students learn about the life cycle of animals, growth and development, responsibility, animal care, nutrition, and where food comes from. They also have the opportunity to observe egg laying, practice kindness and empathy toward animals, and build confidence by helping care for our flock.

Every donation helps to ensure our students can continue learning from these wonderful animals every day! Food for our chickens is the best and easiest way to help! Thank you for supporting this meaningful, hands-on educational experience!
