My Students

My students are awesome! Every day, I get to come to school and work with kids. It is a joy to see their faces when something finally clicks. We are a low-income school with many students receiving free/reduced lunch.

Many of my students strive to go above and beyond and they work hard to accomplish their goals.

My goal for my students is not to just prepare them for the next grade, but to prepare them for the world. We work together in many different ways to accomplish this goal.

My Project

I have used Scholastic News for the past two years in first grade. My students love to learn and learn new things about their life and the world. Scholastic News provides interesting topics and learning that my students love! The smiles on their faces when they read about a cool animal or a new place in the world is so inspiring! Scholastic News will make a difference in my student’s learning because it will be another way to learn literacy skills and have fun while reading. I enjoy every day with my students and this is another way we’ll be able to enjoy learning together.
