Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students are awesome, five to six-year-old kindergartners.
Some of my students have never been to school, while some have had some preschool or transitional kindergarten.
My students love coming to our live Google Meet class meetings to learn. I love seeing and teaching them. I only wish I could offer them more. It is bliss to come to work each morning and be greeted by loving students on Google Meet.
My Project
This year, my kindergartners have been working hard on making awesome choices in behavior and learning throughout the school day. When you log onto my virtual classroom, they are committed to doing well in school so they can be successful and be excellent learners. In class, when students are caught following school rules, they earn an "Eagle Buck".
Now that my students are earning "Eagle Bucks", I would like to create an incentive system by creating a special "Interactive and Fun Day" where they can cash in their "Eagle Bucks" to celebrate their success!
Students will use their "Eagle Bucks" to trade in see a special virtual speaker such as Princess Elsa and Spiderman for some virtual interactive story time with book reading, singing, and discussions on how the students can be kind to others. Students will have to budget their "Eagle Bucks" and spend wisely so they can participate in their chosen activities. We will also have free areas such as coloring pages, stickers art project, and other activities that students will be able to utilize to save bucks and so all students can participate.
The two special virtual speakers requested in this project will provide my kindergarten with a fun interactive event they never forget while teaching students financial literacy and celebrate their success this school year.
