My Students

I teach an awesome group of 3rd graders! My students are in the DLI Russian program and are 8 and 9 years old. They are hard workers and love to participate in activities that involve moving around and working together.

My Project

Sitting at a desk on a hard uncomfortable chair is very difficult for many of my students. Many of my students struggle with sitting down and working for long periods of time. In my classroom I only have normal chairs for my students to sit on. Having alternative seating will give my students the choice to choose where they sit and learn for the day. Alternative seating will also allow my students to move while they work and be comfortable while they learn. I believe flexible seating helps to increase student engagement and learning in the classroom.
