Dot markers build fine motor skills as children practice precision and control. They're perfect for our youngest learners—easier to grip than pencils—and turn every activity into confident, joyful creation. From letter tracing to artistic expression, these markers say \"yes, you can do this!\" to every child.\r\n\r\nWhiteboards & Dry-Erase Supplies\r\nThese boards are our classroom's thinking space. Students use them to practice letters, numbers, and problem-solving without fear of mistakes. The freedom to erase and try again builds resilience and risk-taking—essential for learning. They're also perfect for collaborative games and whole-group activities that keep all 20+ students engaged.\r\n\r\nGlue Sticks\r\nFine motor development is everything in kindergarten. Each time a student applies glue and assembles a collage, they're building the hand strength and coordination they'll need for writing. These simple tools unlock creativity while developing critical skills for academic success.\r\n\r\nPlay-Doh\r\nPlay-Doh is serious learning in disguise. Students develop hand strength, explore colors and textures, and practice following directions (\"Roll a snake,\" \"Make a ball\"). It's therapeutic, inclusive, and meets every learner where they are—whether they're processing emotions or building spatial awareness.\r\n\r\nClorox Wipes\r\nA clean, healthy classroom is a learning classroom. It has enabled me to incorporate music into my curriculum, making learning more engaging and enjoyable for my students. The piano has also created a sense of community, as students gather around it to sing, play, and learn together.\r\n\r\nI have noticed in my classroom, that since getting a piano, my students are more engaged in the lessons and are able to recall lessons learned in song more easily. My students are each on the app \"piano maestro\", so they are individually learning how to create music themselves and it is so fun to watch their confidence grow. The first time one little boy was offered the chance to play the piano he looked at me with sad eyes and timidly said he didn't know how to play. It was in that moment I knew I could never fully explain to you the gift you have actually given my students. You gave us a piano, which is awesome. More importantly, you gave my students the confidence to find their voice, the joy of creating, and a lifelong love of music. The cubbies give students a sense of organization and responsibility, helping them take ownership of their materials and stay prepared for learning each day.\r\n\r\nThe book boxes have become a highlight of our reading center. Students now have a special place to keep their books, blankets, and flashlights for \"cozy reading\". This small addition has created an atmosphere where students are excited to curl up with a good book, practice their reading skills, and fall in love with stories. The joy and independence that come rom having their own space to store and use materials has been powerful. \r\n\r\nBecause of your support, my students not only have more structure, but also more enthusiasm for reading and learning. Students eagerly choose seating that best suits their needs for different tasks. For example, during a recent creative writing lesson, I noticed several students selecting the scoop rockers, finding the gentle movement helped them focus their thoughts and overcome writer's block. One student, usually hesitant to share, excitedly read aloud a particularly imaginative story she crafted while comfortably nestled in a rocker.\r\n\r\nThe ECR4Kids dry erase table has become the heart of our math instruction. Just last week, during a challenging lesson on fractions, a small group of students gathered around it for a \"Math Talk.\" They collaboratively worked through problems, using the dry erase surface to visualize their thinking and explain their strategies to one another. The level of engagement and peer teaching was remarkable – students who were initially struggling gained a much clearer understanding through this hands-on, collaborative approach.\r\n\r\nThe initial reaction to the new seating was pure excitement! Their eyes widened as they explored the different options. There was a buzz of anticipation as they tried out the bouncing ball chair, the scoop rockers, and gathered around the new table. It was clear they felt a sense of ownership and were thrilled to have more agency in their learning environment.\r\n\r\nOur next steps involve continuing to integrate the flexible seating into all aspects of our curriculum. In our upcoming science unit on ecosystems, students will use the leaf tables on the rug for small group research and discussions. We also plan to incorporate the dry erase table into our language arts block for collaborative brainstorming sessions and grammar practice. The students are now more aware of how their physical comfort and movement can impact their learning, and they are becoming more self-aware learners as they choose seating that supports their individual needs for different tasks.
