This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with 7th-9th graders who are incredible students. Many of them have gone through difficult circumstances including trauma, grief and loss, and many other difficult situations. On top of this, they are in those years of trying to explore themselves.

Sandtray therapy has incredible benefits for students using sensory and giving a visual experience.

They are also able to explore themselves utilizing miniature figurines within the sand. This is a great technique for students who have a hard time vocalizing or expressing themselves.

Please help me give my students this awesome experience to help them heal and grow.
