My Students

As a teacher in a low-income school. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My students are creative, clever and very spontaneous.

They like to move, they love to read and love lots of positive attention. Many of them are being raised in single parent households and receive a free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. I may not be able to control their home lives, however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I am hopeful to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.

My Project

Our classroom needs a sand and water table to expand their fine motor skills. A child's play is purposeful and meaningful. It is our obligation as educators to give them the tools necessary to make that happen. Research has proven that when children play, they learn.

My students are young and active learners. They love to be silly and move around the classroom. They learn best with hands-on engaging materials.

Many of my students come from low income families that struggle to do whatever to make ends meet. Please help our class get a sand and water table. The students will use this table for many other activities as well. I can put almost any type of manipulate in the table for the children to explore. This table is a great way for the students to practice using their motor skills through the power of play. Please help us get this awesome learning table. Thank you
