Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are working so hard to try to get back on track after a tough couple of years. We are a Title I school with the majority of students learning English as a second language. We are a diverse population that celebrates where students come from and what they believe in. I believe in them!

The transition back to school hasn't been easy, but these students have been up for the challenge.

They remember to sanitize when they walk in, wear their mask properly, and how to enjoy each other's company from a safe distance. All of this while learning required state standards. They love to learn and I want to create an environment which is safe and also as relaxing as possible.

My Project

With safety protocols in place students have limited space to stretch and relax. Students have to sit at their desk all day long. With these rugs, students will be able to move from one spot to another while still maintaining the distance they need to keep safe.

A safe spot to stretch out and read for a bit, group work at a safe distance, or just a moment to sit and breathe.

Please help make my vision of safety and freedom a reality for my 8 year olds! Thank you for your consideration.
