My Students

My students are fourth-graders who attend a K-5 elementary school in the city. Our students face challenges that many can't imagine, but they don't allow their circumstances to define them and neither do I! My reading classes are full of students from various backgrounds, including many who are learning English as a Second Language. I love how they come in each day sharing a part of their world with me. Being able to be a positive role model in their lives has been the most rewarding part of teaching.

My Project

As we all return from the holiday break, having a safe, healthy, and clean learning environment is key to our student's success. Some of my students do not have the resource to have a clean mask every day for school. Having additional masks for students when they break or get dirty will ensure that everyone can be safe.

Keeping students safe and healthy is my main goal with this project.

Disinfecting materials, desks, seats, doors, and other commonly used items in our classroom will also help to keep my students safe.
