My Project

I’m running the 2026 Dallas BMW Marathon to raise resources and awareness for some of our most vulnerable students. I am a special education teacher that teaches a self-contained behavior unit, specializing in trauma informed care for our students with emotional disabilities. When our friends have big feelings, they often resort to maladaptive tendencies, like throwing chairs. However, having a sensory rich and safe environment would be life-changing for us all. Our students are also often in need of basic necessities like snacks, laundry, and hygiene care items. Please help me support these amazing children, they didn’t get a choice in their circumstances, but they choose to show up every day and work towards regulation and learning. I can run a few miles to show them they’re worth it. They’re worth it all.
