My Project

Run...Lift...Crash! Gross Motor activities are important for our students to feel regulated and focused on tasks! In our autism classrooms, we are constantly building on the students’ motor skills to encourage fine motor building while following directions and having fun!

The materials listed below will be used for students in pre-k to 2/3rd grade!

The bean bags will be used to support students' sensory needs by giving them a "crash mat" to fall into which helps to regulate their neurons and be able to have a more focused understanding. Weighted stuffed animals provide the deep pressure that students need to help support their individual sensory needs, and the pop tubes are a great way to build in fine motor strength. These materials will be used to support the sensory needs of students and provide them with a physical way to be able to regulate their own sensory needs.

We hope to make the uses of this as versatile as needed to support a wide range of students with disabilities. By doing this, we create a dynamic learning environment where students are seen, valued, and supported based on their individual needs! Thank you for your consideration in donating to our students!
