Rumble Ready: Building Young Readers Through Books, Fun & Adventure!

Help me give my students Books, Confidence, and a Lifelong Love of Reading!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The excitement is buzzing—and our youngest readers are ready to Rumble!

We’re thrilled to invite a new group of enthusiastic Grades 2–3 readers to join Reading Rumble Junior, a local extracurricular reading experience designed especially for primary readers.

Through fun, engaging, high-quality books, students discover the joy of reading while building confidence, strengthening comprehension, and developing a love of books that can last a lifetime.

This year is especially exciting because I serve as an AIG teacher across two Title I schools, giving me the opportunity to bring this enriching experience to twice as many young readers. Many of our students have limited access to academic enrichment opportunities outside of school. Reading Rumble Junior gives them the chance to explore wonderful books, challenge themselves, connect with fellow readers, and proudly represent their schools.

To participate, students read a specific set of titles and prepare to meet other young readers for a fun reading competition this spring. We’re ready to welcome a new group of readers—but first, they need the books!

We’re asking our generous Charlotte-area and DonorsChoose communities to help put these high-quality books into the hands of our students. Your support will do more than provide books. It will spark curiosity, build confident young readers, and help our Grades 2–3 students develop a lifelong love of reading.

Twice the schools. Twice the young readers. Twice the impact.

Help our young readers get Rumble Ready!
