This project has been a really relaxed one for the students, even when they get frustrated. They like the repetitive motion that allows them to just sit for a minute and work. \r\n\r\nSo far I just have my 4th and 3rd graders working on the project but soon I will include 5th grade. Some of the younger grades have also seen it and have been asking about it so it may even become something the 2nd grade students explore. \r\n\r\nThank you again for helping my students have such a fun and hands on art project to do. Even my quieter students jumped right in and were so proud to show their finished work to everyone.\r\n\r\nThese new materials have brought so much color, energy, and creativity into our classroom. My students are using them every day during art, sensory play, and group projects. The variety of materials has made it easier for all of my students to participate, especially those who need more sensory support. I have seen their confidence and focus grow, and it has helped us build stronger connections as a class.\r\n\r\nNext, we are using the materials to create a \"Feelings Wall\" where students can show how they are feeling through colors, drawings, and art. This helps reinforce and teach students these skills at a young age as often extrinsic motivation works best for the elementary age group. Students are able to spend their points on these items in our class dojo store. Your donation helps students actually be rewarded for their good behavior and makes it increase by a lot, thereby changing the culture of the school to be a positive one.\r\n\r\nThis year we have been told funding has been cut for so many things including one of our Social Emotional Programs. They think its really cool they can easily draw something on a piece of paper and trace over it to get the end result. \r\n\r\nThe students love watching the process of cyanotypes being exposed to the sun and then bringing them inside and washing the chemicals off, watching the cyanotype becoming permanent. I know my students who are into science will really find it cool. \r\n\r\nI also have a few new students this year that weren't able to enjoy the process last year.
