My Students

My students love learning! Our school is on the edge of the city of Las Vegas, tucked right up against the beautiful Red Rock mountain area. We have a diverse student population of over 700. Many of our learners qualify for free or reduced lunch. Our city was hard hit during the Covid-19 crisis and many families are struggling with getting back on track. I hope to provide my students with a fun, safe environment full of exploration and learning. My students are full of so much enthusiasm for learning and exploring the world they live in.

My Project

Students will explore rocks, minerals, and fossils with these materials. They will be able to use the scientific method to examine rocks, identify their make-up, and explore our earth.

Exploring rocks and the foundation of our world is exciting!

Students love being geologists, paleontologists, and scientists. They will use these materials to develop a greater understanding of the world around them.

These kits and materials will help my students to use their critical thinking skills as they create and examine "mock rocks", investigate sediment, and so much more. Students love getting their hands dirty.
