My Students
I am fortunate to have been gifted a class that works hard, likes to have fun, and cares deeply for others. As sixth graders, my students are the leaders of the school and are striving everyday to prepare for middle school next year.
My class is has a wide variety of personalities, backgrounds, and passions which drive them each day.
I love that they share so many parts of themselves with me regarding activities in school as well as out of school. It has really enabled me and my class to build a strong relationship so far this year!
My Project
Students need more motivation than ever before as we all navigate this pandemic. Adding interesting titles to our classroom library, and supplying our class with books as a year end gift can help encourage reading year round in the classroom and at home. The teaching manuals, with quick as well as detailed lesson plans will improve their writing and better prepare them for middle school. Supplies such as markers and pens make learning and creating fun while mastering skills and techniques needed for the rigor they will face in middle school and high school. Students have been through enough at this point in their elementary years, so it is the small things that can make a difference in their interest in being present in the classroom.
