This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I will be teaching a robotics class for a group of 5th/ 6th graders at my school. This class is an enrichment class that students choose to participate in. The students are really excited on learning about robots and how they work. During the class, students will learn about robots. Robots help people with different important jobs. Students will learn that a robot is designed to solve a problem or do a particular job. Some of the jobs that robots can do include making cars, helping doctors perform surgeries, and even controlling special space programs. Robots can support humans in a very modern world. The goal is for the students to think about a robot and draw a picture of the robot they would like to create and what the robot will do. The robots I am requesting would be to understand how robots can use solar energy to move and do what we need them to do.
