Rise, Grind, and Grow

Help me give my students the experience of running their own business with their own aprons and everything. We need a cart to transport all of our coffee supplies. This includes creamers, sugars, thermoses and napkins.

My Students

Students throughout the school come from various types of backgrounds and social settings. This turns the school into a melting pot of ideas, beliefs, cultures, and personalities.

Our school is made up of students from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds.

Even though we are a Title I school in a very rural area, our population is very diverse. We have students who come from low-income households and our trying to get by on a day to day basis. Then we also have students who come from middle class families.

My Project

We are starting a coffee cart which will be a learning and business experience for our students. Students will be practicing and applying what they are learning in their classroom by selling coffee to our teachers. We will be working on improving our social skills in the natural setting, as well as practicing our money skills.

Not only will this project provide our students with an opportunity to generalize what they are learning in the classroom, but also teach them functional life skills.

Students will be responsible for taking teachers order each week, filling the orders, and hand delivering the completed orders.

Each of our students will be involved in the weekly coffee cart. We will focus on their individual strengths to make them all a successful member of our business. In doing so, we will be able to provide them with great learning opportunities in academics, life skills, and social settings.
