My Students

My students are eager to learn about the arts and different types of mediums and how they can mix that with other content areas. These students are from low-income families, and might not have access to these materials at home, or to bring to school with them. Art allows the students to express themselves in ways that words will not allow. These basic materials will help students learn, grow and experiment in class. Having a warm welcoming place for students to create is very important!

Having access to materials for all students to use no matter what their financial status is imperative to creating equal learning opportunities.

Help create a choice-based friendly environment for our students to continue learning! Students will be able to choose what mediums they want to use on projects. Having access to a variety of mediums will allow students to be expressive in their art.

My Project

Extending a reward to students helps to promote positive and appropriate behavior among students. Following class rules, being kind to one another, and keeping safety a priority are just a few of the positive behaviors to be displayed in our classroom through the gifting of rewards to the students. Through appropriate student behavior, teachers are able to concentrate on lesson content and interactive activities to indulge students in learning as opposed to focusing on classroom discipline.

Using the crayons as incentives will promote positive behavior that will help reinforce learning.

Students can also use their new reward at home, or in the classroom to create art! The shapes will be various colors, and some will be multicolored. The toaster ovens will allow me to melt down old crayons to make new fun ones. The silicone molds will be useful to turn them into fun shapes!
