This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have been teaching Language Arts for 14 years. I enjoy watching my students think critically and work together when reading or annotating in their textbooks. I like to use incentives and rewards to encourage student participation and engagement. Having little snacks or treats for my students helps to motivate them to look for literary elements and read aloud. They also like to have healthy completion to answer questions and review lessons. All of these elements come together to create a positive learning environment and for students to enjoy working together.
