Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school has a positive school climate incentive program called PBIS. This program teaches students the proper way how to behave in all the different areas of the school.

The resource I am asking for is a button maker so I can give positive buttons as rewards to my students that demonstrate the 3 B's of our PBIS which is Be responsible ,Be respectful and Be a role model.

The Students receive blue tickets or Class DoJo points from teachers when they demonstrate they are being respectful, being responsible and being a role model.

PBIS decreases office discipline referrals, increases instructional time, and improves student achievement. It encourages the development of positive teacher-student relationships. In addition, it provides students with the foundational skills they will need for success in life.

My school just needs help getting the funding to be able to give our student these positive reward for demonstrating these positive behaviors. As the school staff and students focus on these behavioral goals, negative behaviors begin to lessen. And because teachers are spending less time in disciplining students, instructional time increases.
