My Project

I teach at a rural district in Oklahoma. Many students are performing below grade level in math and need intervention to make gains. Having access to visuals, manipulatives, games, books and other resources will encourage engagement. These resources also provide access to different learning styles within the classroom. Engagement in high quality student activities will promote learning and help students make gains in skills that are lacking.

Another obstacle we face in the classroom often is meeting basic needs.

Needs such as hunger, supplies, and emotional regulation. Meeting these needs are essential before learning can occur.
