This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Antibiotics have revolutionized modern medicine, saving countless lives by treating bacterial infections. However, the rise of antibiotic resistance has become a global health crisis.

It is crucial for students to learn about antibiotic resistance as it affects public health, medicine, and the environment.

Teaching students about antibiotic resistance is of paramount importance. It raises awareness about a critical public health issue, prepares future healthcare professionals to make informed decisions, highlights the global nature of the problem, and promotes responsible antibiotic use. Furthermore, it empowers students to become advocates and researchers, actively participating in the fight against antibiotic resistance. By educating students about this topic, we can work towards a future where antibiotics remain effective in saving lives and treating bacterial infections. This lab will benefit not just my AP Biology students, but it will also help their friends, family and society as a whole!
