My students are 6-7 years old. They are still excited to learn! Our school focuses on small group instruction for reading and math. Teachers work with about 10 students while the others are doing computers or centers. Students get to engage in the learning process as they rotate through the 10 centers set up for the week. They need engaging activities to keep their interest and help them learn the core standards to be great learners and excel at school.
My Project
These materials will help me as I transition to being a 1st grade teacher. They include center materials and assessment guides and information on how to help a student based on those assessments.
The phones are a great way for a young child to read aloud, but not too loud, and hear what they are saying.
It aids in learning, reading with expression and fluency, and is "fun" as well!
My mentor teacher is a first grade teacher, and recommended these resources for a great start. I appreciate your help to become the best teacher I can be and give my students the best!
